Great Success
TiredSeriously- three of the busiest days of my life. I am unbelievably tired right now @_@
Had an in-costume parade on Thursday, so I went directly to the senior high after school and didn't end up getting home until about 10:30 PM. Showering all my costume paint off took a while, so it was about half past 11 by the time I went to bed. It was a great day, though- I got voted the scariest costume in the band and was in the running for most original. Since I got into my costume not too long after I got to the school, I wandered around with ~Delta67-Fox freaking out the other early birds and arrivals for a while. Fun stuff <3
Friday was in-school costume day, so I had to get up earlier than usual and gather my stuff, then rush to change once I got to school. It was really funny standing alongside a handful of girly-girl populars applying eyeshadow as I wrapped my head and coated myself in blood and paint in front of the same mirrors. Probably the best part was my hidden identity- only my friends and the people from my classes who knew where I sat could tell who I was; everyone else could only wonder. I turned a lot of heads, too- and it was nice that my bad peripherals were rendered a non issue since the hallway traffic parted around me like the red sea. And, even though there's a no mask policy in our school, none of the teachers said a word to me. I even walked right by the principal with my face wrapped and he smiled and waved at me- no reprimand XD (The evening game was senior night, and I of course bawled my eyes out in usual overly-emotional Kenzie fashion...)
Saturday was the neighborhood Halloween parades, and even though the weather was pretty miserable, I had a good time. During our short periods of down-time at the end of each parade, I got "accosted" by a lot of curious viewers and was the subject of more than a few photos. There was a lot of stress and drama concerning the evening plans, but things worked out- I went trick-or-treating (shame on me, I'm too old!) with a bunch of other friends in my neighborhood. I got another two pictures taken, and there were a bunch of people who recognized me from the parade in our neighborhood earlier in the day. Got lots of candy, nommed heavily, and played three hours of Apples to Apples- had three friends sleep over as well.
I was originally going start chipping away at my homework today, but I couldn't make myself do anything but lay around and watch reruns of For the Love of Ray Jay (we lost our good channels... T_T). I have tomorrow and the day after to, anyways~
